Many people are concerned about Sulfates in cosmetic products. Why Sulfate-free is matter?

Sulfates are commonly ingredient used in many cleansing products. The main types are sodium lauryl sulfate (or SLS) and sodium laureth sulfate (SLES). Sulfates help a shampoo to create a lathering effect to remove oil and dirt from your hair. But it may strip away too much moisture, essential natural oils and causing hair dry and damage.
To make the best choices for our strands, Kanrapee therefore designed a sulfate-free shampoo, specially formulated to gently cleanse and nourish your scalp. Sulfate-free shampoo is much gentler on sensitive scalps, won’t cause irritate, dry or itching.

Instead of using ‘SLS or SLES’, we used
- ‘Sodium Laurylglucosides Hydroxypropylsulfonate’ and
- ‘Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate’ as a mild surfactants.
They may sound like a sulfate, but they are not.

Sulfonates is one of the gentlest surfactants, it’s mildness to the skin and eyes. Their foaming properties, environmentally friendly as its 100% Bio-degradable.

‘Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate’ (DLS)
DLS “is a cleansing agent and it is a surfactant that is not considered a sulfate. Many ‘greener’ products use this ingredient because of its non-irritating yet effective properties.
DLS will cleanse the hair, but “will not strip the moisture from hair the way harsh sulfates do.

Both ‘Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate’ and ‘Disodium Laureth Sulfosuccinate’ are safety and mildness surfactant. They are effective cleanser that less irritating to the hair, scalp, and skin. They are Sulfate-free ingredients.
Now you can assure that our products do not contain SLS and SLES.
